The April 2020 Creek Week Clean-up was cancelled due to COVID-19 directives.
We are trying something new at Antelope creeks in October – an organized clean-up on October 10 and Random Acts of Clean-up any October day you choose!
Select the type of clean-up that works for you. If you choose Random Acts of Clean-up, you may want to clean at a creek site, in your neighborhood or another nearby area where you have noticed a trash problem.
No registration is required if you choose Random Acts of Clean-up. Please report your results before the end of October to help us track participation and make your clean-up count. We would like to offer a Creek Week T-shirt to say “Thank you!” Please follow this Guidance.
Look for “click here” to register if you choose to participate in the Antelope October 10 Organized Clean-up. (The “Volunteer” button is to register for future spring clean-ups.)
Antelope creeks are mostly naturalized vegetated drainage canals instead of natural creeks. You are not likely to encounter poison oak. Ideal for young children and those with limited mobility.
Please review the Volunteer Checklist on this page plus the COVID 19 Guidance to come prepared.
After registering, please report at 9:00am sharp on Saturday, October 10th to the northwest side of the parking lot between the former OSH and the ARCO at Walerga and Elverta Road. Please follow social distance and mask protocols. SEE MAP Volunteers may be assigned to a creek location nearby that they will then drive to. See those locations further down on this page.
Your team leader will provide you with instructions, garbage bags and help get you started.
Click here to register for October 10, 2020 clean-up.
Your information will be sent to our administrative volunteers who may contact you to confirm your clean-up site location, provide you with instructions, and answer any questions you may have.
We would appreciate it if a few volunteers would fill out a report form after the clean-up.
