Carmichael and Arden Arcade

Public clean-up sites in Carmichael and Arden Arcade are listed below.

Review the site descriptions and check the map links to select your site.

Then click the Registration Link  button to register.

We ask all volunteers to please complete and bring our volunteer waiver to give to their site leaders.  And if you are registering for a group or organization please download our Group Waiver to fill out and hand to your site leader. For some sites, you must also download a Sacramento City waiver.

Please review the check list to the left so you arrive prepared!

Once you register, our administrative volunteers may contact you to confirm your clean-up site location, provide you with additional instructions, or answer any questions you may have.  You may be reassigned to a location as space allows.

Please report at 9:00am sharp on Saturday, April 29th to your confirmed clean-up site. Your team leader will provide you with instructions, garbage bags and help get you started.

Clean-up Sites


Pasadena Blvd and Winding Way – Arcade Creek Registration Link

Caution: Poison oak.
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Park at the end of Pasadena by the pedestrian bridge.


Horsemens Association – Arcade Creek Registration Link

Please also complete, print and bring a Sacramento City waiver.
Caution: Poison oak, areas of steep banks, and deep water. No children under 12. (40 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP 3200 Longview Dr.,Sacramento, CA 95821. Park by the barn.


Rosebud Lane – Arcade Creek Registration Link

Caution: Poison oak. This site is for individuals or groups of no more than 3.(15 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Park just beyond 5901 Rosebud Lane in the lot by the creek.


Arcade Creek Park – Arcade and Verde Cruz Creeks Registration Link

Caution: Poison oak. (20 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Park in the parking lot.


Renfree Field – Arcade Creek Registration Link

Please, also complete, print and bring a  Sacramento City waiver.
Caution: Poison oak, areas of steep banks, and deep water.
No children under 12.

Directions: SEE MAP Park in the parking lot for the ball field close to the creek.


American River College – Arcade Creek Registration Link

Caution: Poison oak, areas of steep banks, and deep water. Do NOT clean along Winding Way – unsafe. (40 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Please park on the northeast corner of campus in LOT A which is accessible from Myrtle Ave.


Cal Expo Floodplain – Chicken Ranch SloughRegistration Link

Caution: Homeless camps. No young children. Lots of walking. (50 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP   Continue on Ethan Way until it dead-ends into the parking lot by the Cal Expo RV lot.


Creekside Park – Chicken Ranch SloughRegistration Link

Adults and older teens only. Some treacherous terrain. One more group needed – no more than 5 people
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Park in the school parking lot.


Mission North Park – Chicken Ranch Slough Registration Link

After reporting at 8:45 you may be assigned to another creek location nearby to which you will drive. Adults and older teens may be assigned to remove ivy that is choking some of the park-s trees. Tools and gloves will be provided. (40 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Report at 8:45! Park in the parking lot.


Howe Community Park – Chicken Ranch Slough Registration Link

(20 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Park in the parking lot west of Bell Street.


Cottage Park – Strong Ranch Slough Registration Link

(20 volunteer capacity)
DIRECTIONS: SEE MAP Park in one of the parking lots on Cottage.


Palm Avenue – Arcade Creek Registration Link

This is a challenging spot.  Steep banks, poison oak and lots of trash.
From 6 to 12 volunteers are needed here.  This location has not been cleaned in a few years and we are looking for some motivated and ambitious volunteers who can help clean this site!

Carmichael Park Registration Link

This site needs a leader! This is not a creek. It is a good place for people who want to pick up litter but cannot negotiate creek banks. Only a few volunteers are needed to help with general clean-up of the park. The designated leader would be required to attend the site leaders’ evening workshop on Thursday, April 27th to get supplies and instructions. Please note in the comment section of your registration that you will lead your group.   SEE MAP
