Volunteer Checklist

Use the checklist below so that you come prepared for creek conditions.

Please be prepared to get a little muddy. Many of the clean-up sites may have poison oak.

Your own drinking water
A bucket or re-usable shopping bag to collect light trash (per person)
Comfortable, washable clothes
Long pants and long sleeves
Hat and Sunscreen
Gloves (work or gardening type)
Shoes that can get wet and muddy
Waterproof boots (optional)
Grabbing tool or rake (optional)

Important: ALL CHILDREN MUST BE WITH A RESPONSIBLE ADULT as the debris, water, or slippery stream banks may be hazardous. If you bring a child or group of children, your most important job is to supervise and keep them safe. Collecting trash is secondary for adults in charge of children.

2020 Volunteer Registration is closed and Creek Week is cancelled due to COVID-19 directives.

We are exploring the possibility of doing Creek Week in the fall. If that’s not feasible, we will be back in 2021.

In the meantime, keep this in mind: Please reduce your plastic waste.

We can all make a difference by practicing random acts of cleanup.

If everyone picked up one extra piece of trash each day, our impact would be even greater.

Your information will be sent to our administrative volunteers who may contact you to confirm your clean-up site location, provide you with instructions, and answer any questions you may have.

Some volunteers may be assigned to a creek location in Folsom that they will then drive to. Your team leader will provide you with instructions, and help get you started.

Lunch will be served at noon after the clean-up. Cancelled

Please report at 8:30am sharp on Saturday, April 25th.

Volunteers please report to Willow Hill Reservoir behind Folsom High School to get supplies and directions to your creek clean-up location. Park in the high school parking lot closest to the reservoir (near the tennis courts). Please return here for lunch after the creek clean-up. SEE MAP.

If you have registered for a group, you may forward our Volunteer Waiver to your members or their parents or guardians.
