South Sacramento County
and Mather

Volunteer Instructions

The April 2020 Creek Week was cancelled due to COVID-19 directives.

We can all make a difference by practicing Random Acts of Clean-up.

You may want to clean at a creek site, in your neighborhood or another nearby area where you have noticed a trash problem. No registration is required if you choose Random Acts of Clean-up. Please report your results before the end of October to help us track participation and make your clean-up count. We would like to offer a Creek Week T-shirt to say “Thank you!” Please follow this Guidance for a successful and safe clean-up.

In the meantime, keep this in mind: Please reduce your plastic waste.

If everyone picked up one extra piece of trash each day, our impact would be even greater.

Public clean-up sites in South Sacramento County are listed below. Review the site descriptions and check the map links to select your site.
Then click the site’s “Volunteer”  button to register.

Your information will be sent to our administrative volunteers who may contact you to confirm your clean-up site location, provide you with additional instructions, or answer any questions you may have. You may be reassigned to a location as space allows.

Please review and follow this Guidance for a successful and safe clean-up.

Please report at 9:00am sharp on Saturday, April 18th to your confirmed clean-up site. Your team leader will provide you with instructions, garbage bags and help get you started.
